Catalpa Bigoneides This tree is such a joy. In Early spring large flowering clusters that remind me of rhododendrons. The flowers are mostly white but are tinged purple on the inside. The leaves come later and they are somewhat heart shaped yellow green in color. They form a fabulous contrast to other trees and the shade canopy is delightful.
