Hibiscus moscheustos
Also known as Rose Mallow, is a native--hardy to at least zone 3. It grows to 4 x 4. It re-seed readily; if you don't deadhead to prevent spreading, it could become invasive. Very easy to grow in full sun; no special fertilizers or needs.
