Lycoris radiata or the Red Surprise Lily
a/k/a spider lily. These are magnificent, blooming in fire truck red when little else blooms--early fall in 8b. Long delicate looking petals are actually very sturdy. Need not stake, and flower gets more and larger petals each year. | | Roots, Tubers and Bulbs |
