| Vitis Vitis This is a very tasty, but seedy grape that I understand is a favorite of the California Rare Fruit Grower's Association and is not easy to grow in all locations, however, I have had much success here in my micro-climate of the Bay Area inland of SF, in Pleasant Hill. It is prolific and fruits wonderfully. I always have an abundance of seedlings too, which I have yet to let grow or transplant, but am willing to share. The description is wrong however, the fruit does not bear in Spring, but in late Summer to early Fall - harvest is in August - September for me. I tried to make wine the first year, and it would have probably been a success had I not skipped a step (my 1st time) but it turned out to be a nice white lightning variety of hooch.
