Agave desmettiana

I am fairly confident that this is the variety I have. All green, standard agave shape, no stripes/varigations, spine at leaf-ends only. I have TONS of pups in pots. Come and get 'em!

Blue Agave tequilana

Yes, the tequila tree! Huge, beautiful and flourishing. When they bloom the flower is spectacular and the stem seeps agave sap/sugar in the early morning. I will harvest about a half dozen large pups next week, and will transplant them to pots for trading. Also have about 3 dozen American Agave pups in pots. Come and get 'em!

I found this gorgeous plant by accident, thriving under an oak among a mass of Mother-in-Law tongue that I'm pulling out. There was one last bunch of berries to help me identify. To me, the leaves look like Spearmint : ) I pulled the last of the berries and sowed them in starter soil according to advice I found on a Clemson University site. That was about two weeks ago. Nothing yet.

I have started seeds, and am nurturing 7 sprouts (so far!). I will not need all, and will be happy to trade as soon as they are mature enough to transplant.

Helianthus Species
Helianthus debilis

Thanks to a few lawn-mower incidents, I am trying again to establish this in my drought-tolerant butterfly garden. A friend brought me a few cuttings from Siesta Key. I separated and planted seeds/tops, upper cuttings and lower cuttings/branches. We'll see what happens!

So many names for this beauty! I'm sticking with Orange Star. I've been looking for Mexican Flame Vine, and found this peeking over my neighbors' fence. They are also gardeners, so encouraged cutting for propogation as soon as I mentioned. Plenty. They thought it was a flame vine, but the leaves do not match. Using Dave's Garden pics, I was able to identify and get the propogation from cutting info I need. I'm going to move my first pot of cuttings into indirect sun and start misting.
