Epidendrum macrocarpum
My husband told me that a neighbor of ours had quite an orchard collection and that, as a new collector, I should go and see it; that I did. I was impressed to see many of her orchards were in pots, surrounding her fire pit, but I was deeply interested in her Epidendrum; which she had as the base of a trellis, in a large ornamental pot. This orchard was growing in among a jasmine and it was wrapping itself up and over the trellis itself; I couldn't believe my eyes. So, when my husband and I were in a large home and garden center, I saw among all the other plants there, the very same orchard that my neighbor had....so I had to have one for myself; I only hope I can be as good a care taker, as my neighbor, of my new prize. Currently we have a thunderstorm rolling through and I have this orchard being blessed by the rain. | 'in what I purchased' | Plants |
