Myoga--Japanese origin Ginger family?
I got this plant in autumn 2 years ago. It was just a small root and small leaves. I watered when I planted it. In winter it disappeared. I thought it didn't make it. Next spring the leaves appeared but I never watered. I even didn't know where the flower would come. So, I ignored them. This year in late August, I found many white flowers with the shoots (eatable parts) which made the ground crack. They appeared down under the leaves like a root from the ground. Now you see my photos I took this morning. I never watered. It's very easy to grow. My area is Zone 6.
