Chambeyronia Macrocarpa When a new leaf opens its has a beautiful red/burgundy color that stays for a couple of weeks. The trunk will look similar to the skin of a watermelon when it gets older. It is a USDA Zone 9b tree and will do fine in coastal full sun once established, preferably not more than 4-5 hours further inland. The trees I have are currently 8-10 inches, a little over year or so old and a few are starting to get green crown shafts. | 'Red Leaf Flamethrower -Variegated or watermelon variety' | Plants | (PlantFiles) |

Eucalyptus Species Eucalyptus deglupta Eucalyptus deglupta is one of the few Eucalyptus species not native to Austrailia. Being from New Guinea the Rainbow Eucalyptus prefers tropical conditions. Personally, would say this is a zone 10a+ tree but I have heard 9b. The trees I have a seedlings currently 6 inches tall and growing, today is 2/19/2010. | Plants | (PlantFiles) |

Schizolobium Parahyba This is a fast growing canopy tree. Should have a least a couple hours of direct sun a day and loves full sun. This tree is cold hardy to 25 degrees, making it's USDA Zone 9b. The tree goes dormant in the winter and will lose its leaves in cold weather, similar to the Plumeria. The trees I have are seedlings. | 'Brazilian Fire tree, Mexican Fern Tree' | Plants | (PlantFiles) |
