Apios Species Apios americana 2016: I do have a few diploid plants that produce viable seed, but seeds will not be available until fall 2017. Triploid plants, profuse flowering but no pods develop. Vegetative reproduction (from tubers) only. Very prolific, and large tuber production. Lots of tubers available | Roots, Tubers and Bulbs | (PlantFiles) |

Helianthus Species Helianthus tuberosus Wild collected variety, large knobby tubers in cultivation, spreads aggressively. Plants grow to twelve feet or more, in good soil and full sun. | Roots, Tubers and Bulbs | (PlantFiles) |

Lathyrus Species Lathyrus tuberosus Interesting, perenial, low (3 foot) climber that produces few seeds and slow growing tubers. Very tasty tubers, but extremely low production. Peas are said to be edible in small amounts but also said to cause Lathyrism when eaten as a significant portion of a diet. Tubers are certainly delicious, but they take several years to grow to edible size. Best grown as a curiosity with occasional, yummy benefits. | Seeds, Roots, Tubers and Bulbs | (PlantFiles) |
