I got 15 bulbs as a free gift from some seed order catalog about 3 years ago and finally put the dead (so I thought), dried out corms in a few starter packs in July . . . they sprouted and I planted 6 of them. The others have had a hard life. they have dried out in the little pots, been revived, and are now freezing and dehydrating in an unwarmed greenhouse. But they still have leaves. LOL. I think I can grow this one. :-)

I could have plants for the right trade. This plant is in a corner that would be very inconvenient to dig, but I definitely need to do some dividing. It is 5 years old (my very first plant). I caught a bird flying back and forth the other day picking individual dry petals.

Wow. Didn't know people wanted this. Well, the first thing I learned in MG class is that a weed to me may be a flower to you. SOOO true.

WOW! That spread quick! Two little 3" cups planted in a 5' circular bed in July now covers over 1/2 the bed. But it's so soft. I think I'm going to dig it and plant some in my kids' play area.

5/2011 - AND NOW THEY'RE EVEN BIGGER . . . ALMOST INVASIVE. i HAVE TRANSPLANTED THEM TO MY CHURCH YARD, AND THEY HAVE SPREAD. I HAVE TRANSPLANTED THEM IN DIFFERENT PLACES OF MY YARD, AND THEY HAVE SPREAD. ANYONE WANT SOME? THEY ARE TOO PRETTY TO KILL, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE OTHER STUFF TOO.
