Plant NameCultivarTypeThumbnail
Aloe Species
Aloe barbadensis

These are the common, fleshy, houseplant one pulps to cover burns. :)
Lost my biggest one and most of the pups to frost last winter-only one survivor, but it should send out offsets soon.
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Mesembryanthemum
Aptenia cordifolia

This is a lovely, small-leaved variety of "Ice Plant" (so called for the "glittery" appearance of the leaves when you look close, I think, but it might refer to its hardiness, too, as many of these species can handle temps down to zone 6. this one can do zone 8, I think). Doing well after its close-call with frost and poor lighting conditions in the old house (we moved).
'Red Apple' Plants
(PlantFiles)
Chlorophytum Species
Chlorophytum comosum

The regular green variety everyone's likely familiar with. :) It may be possible to overwinter these outside in our zone 8b winters. I'm going to experiment with an established plant by taking one of the many I have, soil and all and planting somewhere sheltered, then leaving it alone. :-) In any case, I have about eight of these guys. >^^<

Chlorophytum
Chlorophytum comosum

Babies all in new homes, waiting for more. Not ready for trade. :-)
'vittatum' Plants
(PlantFiles)
Commelina Species
Commelina communis

Some call it a weed- I call it pretty. :) I got this one from the Mum-In-Law's yard as a cutting, and it's exploded into neato trailing vines that seem to flower every couple of days into tiny blue pretties that only last a day, thus the name. It's opportunistic and can be invasive, so if you try growing this, I'd suggest a hanging-planter to keep it isolated from ground-plants. It seeds readily, too, so don't hang it over ground, either.
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Crassula Species
Crassula ovata

From cuttings to foot-tall plants in only two years... O___O I learned you could get a new plant going just from a leaf or small piece of branch as long as it was healthy and plump when taken off the parent. Good grief, these plants are TOUGH.
Plants, Cuttings
(PlantFiles)
Dracaena Species
Dracaena arborea

Showed up as a volunteer in pot of soil I'd gotten from the in-laws. Their neighbour has a big Dragon Tree in their yard that regularly fruits. :-) I'm pretty sure this is arborea, since nothing else seems to have the long, strap-like leaves of this guy. Not ready for trade as it's only two feet high. :-)
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Dracaena
Dracaena fragrans

Just added to my collection from the clearance-rack at our supermarket. It's recovering and not ready to trade, yet.
'Lemon Lime' Plants
(PlantFiles)
Dracaena
Dracaena fragrans

Not available for trade, sorry. I'll attempt air layering this year and see if I can get some babies off my one plant.
'Lisa' Plants
(PlantFiles)
Dracaena Species
Dracaena marginata

Older plant in my little collection. I'm rooting a single cutting now. Not quite ready for trade, yet.
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Epiphyllum Species
Epiphyllum oxypetalum

This one can ramble, so make sure you have room for it!
'Dutchman's Pipe' Cuttings
(PlantFiles)
Epipremnum
Epipremnum aureum

I rescued a big hanging planter of this vine, and it sprang back from it's dried out ordeal literally within days. That's how hard to kill Pothos is! :-D Its doing great in our new house, and the vines are over four feet long, now. :-) It's easy to make some cuttings of the vines, so if anyone would like some, let me know!
'Marble Queen' Plants
(PlantFiles)
Faucaria Species
Faucaria tigrina

I only have one small cluster, at the moment, but I hope to keep 'em going. Very neat-looking plant. Mine has small yellow, daisy-like flowers. I don't know if it can be divided, yet. I'll give it a shot and if it works, I'll have extras. :-)
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Haworthia Species
Haworthia attenuata var. zebrina

I currently have about ten or eleven of these little guys. :) They off-set readily.
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Haworthia Species
Haworthia limifolia

Received this little pretty as a surprise in a trade here on DG. :-) It's grown slowly, but now I have pups! There are three that are sizable right now and a few others that need to get some size on 'em. Yes, ready for trade!
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Haworthia Species
Haworthia retusa

New addition to the collection. It has a nice healthy rosette and appears to be making offsets--not quite ready for trade, but should be in 2014.
Plants
(PlantFiles)
English Ivy
Hedera helix

I just got fourteen healthy cuttings of this. Going to leave 'em to do their thing for a while. Not ready for trade. I don't know if mine is 'Baltica', but it looks very much like it.
'Baltica' Plants
(PlantFiles)
Hoya Species
Hoya fungii

They have re-grown to a nice, long length since their near-death experience from the Big Move. I'm pretty sure I can root some cuttings
Plants, Cuttings
(PlantFiles)
Kalanchoe
Kalanchoe blossfeldiana

I have the orange, deep red, fuchsia and light pink varieties--don't know which cultivars they are, sorry. Not ready for trade, yet as they're recovering from a nasty aphid infestation, poor things.
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Kalanchoe
Kalanchoe uniflora

Not ready for trade. I've seen this one called "Coral Bells" and "Winter Bells". It's the same plant. I have a few new cuttings that I'm currently rooting, and they appear to be doing fine.
'Winter Bells' Plants, Cuttings
(PlantFiles)
Opuntia Species
Opuntia engelmannii var. linguiformis

My cuttings are young, yet, but it's growing quickly. I may have pieces large enough to root in about a year. I'm honestly not entirely certain if this the proper identification, but it was the closest in appearance I could find in the listings.
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Opuntia Species
Opuntia microdasys var. pallida

This is a tough little plant- it can sit without water for literally months, even withering, and plant it, water it, and it plumps up and starts growing. Grows like gang-busters when it's happy. But my hubby hates the because of the glochids (those near-invisible thorns that get in you and impossible to find. I use my tongue! LOL) and, as a result, I've been taking them out of my collection and so have a couple big pieces I can send on.
Plants, Cuttings
(PlantFiles)
Plectranthus Species
Plectranthus verticillatus

Mine has had a hard time with moves and dreary lighting and/or temperature conditions. I hope to revive the poor thing by taking cuttings of what survived and going from there. :-p
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Schlumbergera Hybrid
Schlumbergera

Prolific bloomer, with brilliant pink flowers almost as bright as 'Cyber Dancer', fading to pale pink and white in their throats. I have some photos somewhere--I'll upload them when I find them. :-)
'Nicole' Plants, Cuttings
(PlantFiles)
Spathiphyllum Species
Spathiphyllum wallisii

This one I've had for years, and it just doesn't DIE, which is awesome, since I didn't know the first thing about how to care for it at first. I inherited mine from my former room-mate- sort of- I had re-potted her gigantic and crowded plant, dividing it into two big groups. I got to keep one and she kept the other. Mine travelled with me all the way down to Valley Village (and later out to Crestline),California from Winnipeg, Manitoba and it's bloomed a number of times... I think it's due for another division. So trades, anybody?
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Nephthytis
Syngonium podophyllum

Nephthytis, or Arrowhead Vine to many, this plant is just NEAT. I've always liked them. I have three, now, but two aren't big enough to take cuttings from yet- shouldn't be long, though. :) The third has gotten massive since I last made this entry- I can easily take cuttings from her. While I'm pretty sure mine is the "Imperial White" or "Albo-variegatum" variety which goes nearly all white with a bright green edge and some speckles of green on larger leaves. The younger ones have the white-veined green, like in the photo of 'Imperial White', and there are some leaves that have the nearly all-white colouration in that pic, so maybe it's that cultivar after all. :)

Tradescantia
Tradescantia pallida

I'm a bad dragon- I nipped a cutting of this oh, so pretty rich purple beastie from a bed of plants outside an empty-office building. The original planter was ignored and neglected- had been for months- but it amazed me how these things just kept going! Now, I have a few lovely- and healthy- plants that I hope to divide and propagate, soon. Not quite yet ready for trade, but it shouldn't take long.
'Purple Heart' Plants, Cuttings
(PlantFiles)
Tradescantia Species
Tradescantia spathacea

Some folks call this Oyster Plant, Moses-In-A-Basket, etc. There are a couple of varieties-mine is the deep purple one with the insides of the leaves a rich, bright green It grows pretty fast in the right conditions. It's a little grumpy, 'cuz I didn't know it preferred filtered light to light shade in our blistering summers and the Stellar's Jays and the chippies keep poking at the poor thing when it's outside. I put it in a more protected spot, water it more and it seems to be recovering. I got mine from an estate sale, and it was in sad shape- hopefully, I'll have it back up to snuff in a few months. There three small plants in the pot--I could trade one.
Plants
(PlantFiles)
Tradescantia Species
Tradescantia zebrina

Brought as a cutting from my hometown up North, it's doing well here. It's been pretty happy- cuttings should be no problem.
