Archontophoenix cunninghamii This variety is hardy to below 25F. She collected seeds from the southern most grove in Australia. Hers survived when my garden center variety died. Her climate is a few degrees colder than my hillside site. My Aloe (Alodendron) barbarae survived and hers didn't and it is hardy to 25. She had no foliar damage in at least the low 20s if not high teens. I collected seeds from her garden but sold most of the plants at meetings of The Palm Society, IPS (International Palm Society) meetings in the auctions. Those in frosty areas can successfully grow it. It is hardy in inland California but not the deserts. It should be successful along the Gulf Coast and northern Florida. I have seeds again but not a lot. I'll try to get more. | 'Inga Hoffmann' | Seeds | (PlantFiles) |
