Calocasia Alocasia 6" potted plant, grown from single rhyzome, has produced 5 tall-stemmed dark green leaves- very waxy & rather firm leaf structure after separating rhyzomes from my larger specimen. New plant was root bound within a week & although it's a slow growing plant,my alocasia grows rather quickly in my kitchen window, light filtered light & Osmocote do wonder!
