Hi folks,
I have been looking for the salmon coloured morning glory operculina pteripes for ages...
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/109754/
and have been wondering if any one lives in Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica or Nicaragua and has at least seen it bloom somewhere???
My next approach will be to contact some biology teachers and ask them if they could motivate the kids to go hunting for the plant during a field trip or school outing.
If anyone knows biology teachers in these countries that my be able to help me, I would most appreciate that. I also speak Spanish, so I could write a letter or email these teachers in Spanish, too.
Thanks in advance.
Martin

Martin,
Did you noticed on this page http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/109754/ that 2 members "Have or want this plant" http://davesgarden.com/community/trading/search.php?search_text=PFPID:109754
I have never had very much luck when I contact folks.
Also have you tired the MG Forum? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/floramanana/all/
Good luck in your search.
Yes, nobody in the morning glory forum has it. The florida flower girl who supposedly has it has never replied to any of my dmails so far...

Hope you search reaches a fruitful conclusion.....
Dale,
Is the one in the picture above considered to be salmon colored? It looks pale purple to me.

Now that's what I call salmon-colored! Pretty! Do they grow any sugarcane in Morocco?
