Got my tomatoes covered already and the sprinklers set to come on at midnight! I'm pretty sick of this weather, but the daytime temps are great for working outside.

AuGres, MI(Zone 5b)

We got all our tomatoes and pepper plants and part of our squash plants covered. We ran out of steam and decided that was enough. Thankfully, I had saved a slew of milk jugs with the bottoms cut out from last year. They make great covers for plants.

Here is the report I got from Yahoo weather for my town of AuGres. It said we're going down to 33 degrees tonight. I believe it. It's cold out already. Got the chickens in their coop with the heat lamp on them. :)

Detailed Local ForecastHow to Read This Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy. Near record low temperatures. Low 38F. Winds NNE at 5 to

Of course we all know these forecasts can get it wrong. It's their best guess. Temps can vary from one area to a few blocks away. All we can do is pray the frost passes our area. I've gotten to where I only buy tough annuals like verbenea and petunias and marigolds. Those darn sweet potato vines are very sensitive though. I love them though. Next year I'm not planting anything till about June 10th.
