Raising sibling puppies

We have 2 lab brothers, one yellow, one black. We have found that it is much more difficult to raise 2 same age puppies than 2 dogs where dominance is already established by either age or first owned. Our pups are now 2 1/2 years old. Does anyone else have any experience with this situation? Thanks, Cindy
