Getting a head start like 30 days or more

Ely, NV

I start a lot of seeds in GH and transplant into larger pots. To save transplant shock I line them with newsprint.. then slip out plant with its paper into hole. leave or cut sides of paper.roots are not damaged and no set back. I start sweet corn in side and every two week start some more. Here it is the first of June and the corn is over 12" high. The first should be ready by 4th july This is at 6500' and zone 7 Also have melon and winter squash over a foot high no shock no set back. the most we have is 90 days frost free if we are lucky Here in Ely Nv. I have seen snow on the 4th of July
When I get a camera will post photos
