Well, I made the leap and bought Felco pruners. It's time to clean them and I noticed there's a jelly type of lubricant in there. I've got mineral oil and WD-40. I did my best, but I want to do the very best. How do you clean your pruners?

Oh, you're supposed to clean them??? ☺
Didn't know they were to be cleaned either.
Thanks Victor! I should've just checked their site. Gee... their lube prices are high...
Yup, you're supposed to clean them and sharpen the blade.
You're welcome, Harp. I doubt that stuff is anything special.
You mean I could do just as well with mineral oil and wd-40?
Are you referring to the pruners?? ^_^
Seriously - maybe. I would like to know what is in that stuff.
LOL... I always wipe my blades with alcohol ... never used any lube.. maybe that's why they always rust up on me
Har, har, eeeew. Victor. Yeah, I want to know what's in that stuff.
Sherrie, I don't think I'd use a vegetable base like linseed oil. They tend to get sticky after a while.
I bought a set myself last week they are great.
Yes they are!
harper i have a pair and i did not do anything special to them except sharpen the blade - i may have sprayed wome wd-40 now that i think about it. don't go crazy
Thanks Bill!
After I clean the dirt off, I spray my tools with Pam. Works great !
Tastes good too!
what does pam think of it?
Good idea.
You guys are too funny.
