They are always unusual and well composed,a treat for the eye.

Gorgeous pics everyone. We have had a hard killing frost, so everything is done for this year. I picked all my rose buds.

Your planters are so stunning !!
I'm simply fascinated .

My containers are not made of paperacrete .
They are thinner and harder than papercrete ones.
We Japanese alpine plant lovers are fond of these containers.

It's getting cold and our container gardenig is out of season, isn't it ?

Thanks TomTom
I was referring to the 2 miniature arrangements in those shallow forms.
Its hard to believe they arent papercrete.
Ahhh well.
Right on the cold weather and no gardening.
Here in the US we are waiting for the holiday season to end and the catalogues to come out so we can get down to the important tasks of planning what to buy for next year.

Amazing

Tomtom....love your containers.

I have tried growing Diamond Frost from cuttings, but they don't make it. Tell us how you take your cuttings and grow them out.

Thanks

OSAKA, Japan(Zone 9b)

Hi Debsroots

I love the `Diamond frost ' for its vigorousness and easy propagation.
Every year I bring some of cuttings in doors to overwinter, and take them out
when it gets warm enough .
Then I transplant them in bigger containers.
From early summer till early autumn the cuttings root as rapidly as those of Coleus.
During the time, they start to root in a week.
Just have a try .

Tomtom - Your Diamond Frost is gorgeous. A sweet friend loves that plant and raves about it so I guess I'll be buying it next year. It's nice to hear propagation is so easy.

Northwest, MO(Zone 5a)

Super....I'll keep trying. I'll put some in water and see what happens.

Port Charlotte, FL(Zone 10a)

Thanks so much Tomtom!

Your containers are as "breathtaking" as usual! I've also been wondering how to root Diamond Frost! You are incredible!

Very nice . My Diamond Frost didn't get very big, but perhaps I watered it too much. I don't have room to bring in a lot of plant & cuttings. I will get the Diamond Frost next spring from a garden center.

Tomtom,

Are you starting a 2010 container thread....can't wait to see it.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Yes please Tomtom
I hope so

Silver Spring, MD(Zone 6b)

TomTom..I think you need to come to Maryland and plant all my containers for me. They are all breathtaking! Have you ever considered putting all of these into a slideshow presentation through flicker or one of those photo sites? The person looking at each picture wouldn't have to keep hitting the "back" button. I'm not computer savy so my terminology may be incorrect, but I think others will know what I mean. Do you do only container gardening? Would love to see the rest of your gardens if there are any. Beautiful and thanks for sharing with us. We had 19 inches of snow over past 24 hrs. and seeing those container arrangements of your surely brightens my day/evening now.

Phoenix, AZ

Eagerly awaiting any images, lessons and beauty you may share for 2010! I always appreciate your creations, TomTom! Thank you and Happy Holidays and a fulfilling New Year!

OSAKA, Japan(Zone 9b)

Hi,all

Pippi, thank you so much for your invitation .I wish I could come to Maryland.
I continued to have my own site until two years ago and kept posting lots of photos.
Container gardening is only a part of my gardeing .Since this is a container gardening forum I post only containers here.

Hi Tomtom - I have to say I completely enjoy your wonderful creations. I'm looking at the picture below and wonder if you can tell me what the name is of the fusia pink flower with the yellow center is? It almost looks like a petunia but I've never seen that type of combo - a primrose perhaps?

Hi ultimateshopper ,

Yes that's it exactly primrose.
I placed it as a finish since it was so eye-catching.
