My first Louisiana Iris bloomed by the pond. It is a beauty.

This red petunia is pretty.

I have one Rhodie in poor shape after the builder planted in a pile of buried debris. It was rescued two years ago and still looks terrible but it does bloom still so I keep it.. :)

Finally got a decent picture of the Leprechaun Columbine bloom. With its pretty varigated foliage and these great and interesting blooms..what more does a girl need.

Nice. I like those Louisiana Iris. I saw my toad this morning trying to get back down between the bricks where he was stuck. Maybe he was hatched down there?

Willow - very nice Hotei shot; it is terribly under-used.
Horizon Monarch - blooms look huge & pretty!

This columbine shot almost looks 3-D.

you're right, Bea. I think it's the lighting. Looks like you could touch it.

Bea... that columbine shot is great. It would be a good one to consider for the contest! I love the leprechaun Aq.

Willow... Your Rhodies are great, you keep them in good shape to!

is there another flower that can beat this for a true blue?

Thank you everyone, what wonderful blues today!! Love the Louisiana iris and adore that Leprechaun Columbine. Need to look for more columbine, I lost two of my favorites this winter. And Bea that 3D is a winner!! Beautiful rhody's Willow, you have such a variety of colors.

I have to confess- I cheated and bought the dahlia plants recently when I built the flowerbed they're now in, so they're probably well ahead of where they would be naturally. ;)

We all like the treasures we find at plant places. The deeper satisfaction for me is when I can make it happen again. LOL

These dahlias are in a planter - first time I've ever had them bloom. I think I must have kept them too damp when they were in the ground.

Not too bad for a grab bag from Home Depot

No pics from today - spent a couple of hours using 3 in 1 on my poor black-spotted roses. Luckily it was restricted to just one part of the yard.

Irwells, I really like that first red dahlia, it's lovely.

I do to, redchic01. I also had the yard guy plant some in the back bed, but he didn't mark them, grrrrr. (This was about 4/1, and I couldn't take the time off myself without courting a divorce! I hate tax season.)

lol.... Don't you just hate that! But, at least you will figure out which is when here soon. There's potential! Yep, hate tax season!!

At least you probably only do your own return, our office does 1,600 from Jan - October 15.
