I had some of these plants in my yard when I moved here. Someone told me, "Oh, that's Michigan Holly". It has shiny, holly shaped leaved (softer though not stiff) with groups of tiny yellow flowers in spring (already bloomed). Is anyone familiar with this? I have one left and am thinking about moving it to a new location. Can't find it anywhere.
TIA.
Kathy

That's a link for information about Michigan holly. Does it look like your bush?
No, Loon, it doesn't. This one has very shiny, leaves with multiple points. Also I have never seen berries even when I had more than one bush?
With yellow flowers? It sounds like Kerria Japonica. It is a bushy , suckering shrub with beautiful flat or double yellow flowers in the early spring.
Does your bush look like this???
