What is your favorite Broken Color Iris???

Hello all!!

I was introduced to BC (broken color) Iris about a month ago in this forum and wow!! There are some beautiful ones!! I was wondering what your favorite broken color iris is? Please post pic and let me know if it is TB, BB, MTB, etc. I am expanding my shopping list!! LOL Thank you!!

I have had Millineum Falcon, Batik, Tiger Honey, Gnu, Gnus Flash, King Tush and Isn't this Something. I think my faves in order are King Tush, Gnus Flash and Isn't This Something. Actually, after my cutbacks this year I will only keep King Tush.

'Millennium Falcon' - I look the solid standard and the BC fall!! Who can I get it from?

'Tiger Honey' - I like!!!! Now in the Winterberry Gardens Catalogue (pg13) - it is not listed as a BC - is it the same one?????

'Gnus Flash' - who can I get it from?

'King Tush' - who can I get it from?

'Isn't This Something' - who can I get it from?


Now is the BC something new - 1990+ or were there older irises that displayed this? As you can tell I have a Winterberry Gardens Catalogue I am seeing if I can finds these in. They do not seem to have many BC.

'Isn't This Something' is Alan Emsiger iris he lives in Neb. i dont know who sell his stuff now ?

Go for BB, Raspberry Silk (by Spoon and may rebloom) and a short tall bearded Doodle Strudel is from the 70's. There is also Cirrus Skies if you like bi-tonal blue as well as those mentioned before.

well, I think Alpha Gnu is just a cute adorable little thing. And Millenium Falcon always takes my breath, it's so gorgeous. I saw a few new ones at nationals - new to me - but nothing took my breath away. Brindled Beauty is another of my favs, an oldie.
