Does anyone have a sewing/embroidery machine they don't like

I've been looking at them for a year. They are still too expensive for me. If I used them to make money, it would be different, but not to just do small projects for myself, friends and family and such. I was just wondering if I come across one I can afford to buy, are there any you think I should stay away from? Thanks, tish
