Help! I moved back to Ohio after 30 years in California. I always had jasmine vines twining on my porch railings-perennial there.
Can anyone suggest an alternative flowering vine-no preference as to annual or perennial right now-that would be a fast grower, and fill my 'need' for fragrance??
Thanks so much for any suggestions!
Alternative to jasmine for Ohio
Japanese honeysuckle or sweet autumn clematis.
Thank you Kay-I'll definitely be looking at honeysuckle now-for an arbor out back. I forgot how much I loved it as a kid living here! There are so many varieties of clematis now, it's great to be directed to one particular type.....
My pleasure - show us pictures when you get them planted and they bloom.
clpgirl, I've recently ordered one of these.

Brushwood is sold out, but I got mine here:

Thanks Stormyla! I noted that LazyS has several jasmine that are marked zones 5-9. I'm going to give them a try. I'm excited to see if this works!!!!
Will be waiting for photos!
