If this was the first bloom of the season, was the purple one, and was not as tall as some of your later iris, it probably was Eleanor Roosevelt. See DG plant files under Roosevelt and I think you will see what I mean. This is a rebloomer and in my backyard reblooms/blooms between November and March. It is the first iris after the SDBs bloom. I think it should have been named "Yeah, it's spring!" because that's what I say every March! It is prolific here.
