Do you think it would grow with about 3 hours of morning sun and then dappled shade for the rest of the day? Or is it just a waste of time to try?
Hyacinth Bean Vine question
It should do fine - when I lived in Missouri, zone 5b, I grew everything in the shade and all did very well, especially when the summers got incredibly hot.
in our state things do better with some shade
I've got one blooming now that only gets a few hours of "direct sun" rest of the time it's bright shade. The get big faster and bloom faster with more sun, but here as summer progress's it takes it's toll on alot of things if they don't get a little shade or you have to water them much more often. I have found too that mulching keeps the roots cooler and many plants can handle the heat better then. Course that's not the problem your having but yours should do fine with 3 hours of sun.
it will grow anywhere ....
