I just love my ageratums. But how do you save the seeds??
ageratum seeds
I don't know tiG, but I accidently broke off some of mine about a week or two ago, I stuck them in damp soil and they rooted.
just don't know if I could keep them going until spring though. I may just take the dead heads and sprinkle them around, unless someone comes in that knows:)
Hey tiG, when the flowers stop blooming, they will turn dark brown to gray. When you rub them between your fingers and they crumble like ashes, they are ready. If I remember right, you can totally forget about cleaning the seeds from the chafe. Both are tiny. I have saved and planted the seeds from some of mine and they are very easy.
Good Luck!
Michele
that's what I figured Badseed, so that's what i've been doing. Couldn't be without my ageratums next year. thanks!!
