i purchased a passion flower vine at home depot for my deck.well looking at it today i noticed these bugs on the vine.i am worried about my outdoor plants getting this can they?i feel like throwing this plant away i don't know,i should probaly throw it in the garage till cured.all advice needed.

Yes, barnacle scale can move to other plants. If there are only a few, I suggest scraping them off with your fingernail, and then spraying the plant with horticultural oil to suffocate any crawlers. Repeat this is in a week to 10 days, in case you missed any. Just keep a good watch and you shouldn't have to toss it. Now, if it is covered in scale, put it in a plastic bag and toss it in the garbage. The fight to control is just too hard.
