We have had very moist conditions for the last week and have several fungi growing in our little city lot. Most are common looking cap type mushrooms - then there was this one. Besides looking phallic, this one really has me curious. It has an awful smell to it and the top looks slimy. Any idea what it is?

They're amazing aren't they? You were lucky to see the slime, the flies have usually eaten it all!
