Photos are looking great! Let's keep it going.
I notice that last week's high temps seem to have shortened the bloom time on many trees. Too bad.
Here is some new growth on my pieris in yesterday's gloom.
Garden Photos of '09.... #17
Pretty colors.
Thanks, Storm. I just started last fall with one in a pot. Now I have a few. Love that dicentra!
"a few" (snort)
Hey all!! Been WAY too busy to even try to keep up on the threads, and that is by no means a complaint, save that I haven't had time for f-u-n things.
I just had to make myself take a break and make sure everyone is OK and perhaps share a couple of photos to keep everyone in the loop, as well as myself.
Here is a shot of one of the Amaryllis blooming at the moment.
Amaryllis benfica
I love the color on that orchid!
Welcome back
The wider cattleya shot above shows the lavender tint to the blossom more accurately than the first.
Thanks Candyce!!
LOVE the color on that amaryllis.
Hey, WillieB, I was wondering about you also. I figured you were still planting the hundreds of seeds you got. LOL. Have missed you!
I am out of room in the GH. My 1st intention is to grow veggies and sell them. I have flowers up the gazoo. I have resorted to putting the seedlings into 2" peat pots. Here is 9 times 9 is what 81. Left is Red Oriental Poppies and Right is Columbine Giant Mix. I have trays and trays like this planted.
I will go out next weekend and sell. I will then take the flowers that are developing and upsize the pots and resalk the GH with just flowers.
You sound like me, Sherrie! Those all look great! I used 4" peat pots and they are WAY too big. Smaller makes more sense, space-wise, especially.
I was watering in the cold frame this morning and thinking how much bigger I need it for next year! Ugh, then I thought about how much time I will need .....
Sleep is over-rated anyway .... correct???
Here is a shot of some Eggplant - Lavender Touch .... seeds from the Round Robin, most things are!!
