Long Blooming Perennials

Chicagoland, IL(Zone 5a)

Just wanted to let y'all know of 2 of the longest bloomers in my gardens this year.

Veronica longifolia 'Lilac Karina' - pale lavender 2' to 3' tall veronica that has been non-stop (with deadheading) since May.

'Autumn Minaret' daylily - tall (4'), wirey scapes with pale gold & pale red throat flowers. Non-stop flowers since end beginning of August. A late blooming daylily that looks great in a "wild" or prairie garden.

My veronica's like that too. Still blooming after our first frost last night. Started June (we're z4b). Marguerite is almost as long lasting, as are fern leaf Bleeding Hearts (still blooming since early June). Also, Gloriosa Daisies are still going strong since June. Have seed for those if interested. Malva moschata (musk mallow) is my champion.

Goblin Gallardia, 'Blue Chips' campanula (carpathia harebells), 'Purple Homestead"' Verbena,..& Carfree Delight shrub roses have that bloom-&-bloom-&-bloom-for-months quality for me.

'Moonbeam' coreopsis is a great all-season bloomer.
