Two more id's please...

New Braunfels, TX(Zone 8b)

I have some irises that I got from my grandmother who, in turn, got some from her mother and some from her mother-in-law (my great grandparents). Any ideas what kind they are?

Here is a pic of the other kind. Interestingly enough, these didn't bloom for about 10 years, because I had them planted in part shade. When I moved to a new house, I put them in the sun and saw the blooms for the first time!

They both look like tall bearded iris.

A number of sites have photos of historic Iris. Here is one that has a lot listed on the left side of the page. Maybe you can find ones that match yours.

Thanks D and Susan. I'll definitely head over to that sight.
