okay i just got an awesome deal on this musa basjoo at lowes ,since it had broken leaves i askd for a discount and he gave it too me for 3 buxx!!!!! (a 5 gal regular priced 30$) hehe anyway i have bought these in the past and in the winter they always rot!! how do i keep it from rotting? thankxxx

Bring them indoors, if you grow them in pots, and water only once a month and not very much.
If you plant it outdoors, build a wire cage around it and fill the cage with leaves, then wrap with bubble wrap.
