Spring Bulbs - What's Bloomin? V

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

It's the height of bulb season for many of us, so keep those pictures coming folks! Since we quickly reached 310 posts on the last thread, figured it was time for a new one. We came from here:

I'll start us off with some species Tulips 'Little Princess' that opened up so pretty today in the 74F sunshine!

And this afternoon when the sun came out.

'Jubilee' is a good pink for holding its color in the sun. Could be because they face down, the only thing I don't like about them.

'Geranium'

Between these and the Lilacs, my nose has been very happy while working in the garden today!

'Cheerfulness', also a fragrant one.

'Hawerwa' has become one of my very favorites. It may be small in stature, but is a blooming machine!

'Hillstar' I believe is the name of this one. Love the reverse coloring.

I posted a pic of these T.clusiana on the last thread when they'd just colored up, and there was a request to see them open. Here ya go!

T.linifolia is one of my favorite species tulips. Flashy and shiny!

And the last for now, T.clusiana var. chrysantha

It's gorgeous outside, and I'm just in for a break. The sunshine is calling!

Glad to see the snow melting and life emerging beneath it!
Wishing you only sunny days!

These daffs get better everyday!

Dahlia: Great shot of your crocus in the snow! I'm wishing no more snow for you.

Bea: You keep wowing me with your tulips. That last one, is it a tulip or a peony? Love that color!

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

hemophobic.. it is a tulip.. I will have to research it. It is the only one like it that I have found so far. May have come in a mixed bag
assortment. I bet it is going to be pretty like the May Wonders which remind me of peonies. It is like a glass of Merlot!

Not sure what this one is either. Looks promising!

I took another pic of the one without the little bit of soil showing. I think its one valiant bloom. Only one that wasn't snow covered in that patch.

Thumbnail by dahlianut

Thanks for the smile, dalianut. I love that picture of the lone crocus in the snow. Very defiant and proud. That's just so "cool".

Dahlianut, I hope that's the last blast of winter for you. Blooms in the snow are a heartwarming sight :-)

Bea, don't you just love that last Daffodil! I think its 'Tripartite', a new one for me this year- it does just keep getting better.

Almost missed getting a pic of this Daff, 'Fruit Cup'. I like the subtle shade of yellow of the cup.

'Pipit' has been a reliable perennial and increases well.

Oh Neal, I really do like the coloration on your "Pipit" daffs.
Wouldn't mind some coming my way. Will have to look at John Scheepers later on.
