Lost one plant in entirety due to this fungus/disease. Can anyone ID it and give me a remedy before I lose completely the rest of my azaleas. Thanks in advance,
Candee
What is Killing the Azaleas
Could it be a lichen of some sort? They don't typically kill plants (although if you have a ton of it like it seems like you do, it would probably help to scrape it off). But although they don't typically kill plants on their own, they often tend to occur on plants that are stressed from some other problem. Your leaves don't look a nice healthy green, can you get some closeups of them?
Sorry ecrane but this was a post for my daughter and I don't have any shots of just the leaves. Perhaps she can send me another. I took these when I was at her place last weekend down on the eastern shore.
