I'm new at landscaping and I've 'book-learned' that branches that rub against each other should be pruned. Looking over my black chokeberry shrubs there are so many that rub I'm thinking maybe this is the way the shrub is naturally. Anybody else have experience with this shrub?

It doesn't matter much with shrubs, more important with trees. I'd not worry about it.
