Most Vigorous Bananas

What are the most vigorous bananas you know? I am looking for something that will spread into a clump (3ft or more in diameter) and be very tall (over 10 ft.).

I have an Ice Cream Banana, which is problematic, not vigorous, and rather spindly looking. It has not produced pups despite heavy feeding and ample water.

Presuming you're looking for edible, Brazilian's seem to fit the bill.

Thanks, Carolyn! Coincidentally, I just bought a Dwarf Brazilian today! It now stands in my front yard, and I noticed it had two pups already. It will be about 8 ft, but that is fine with me. It was the clumping I really wanted.

Yes, I love that look as well, very tropical. I've had mine since May of last year (not a dwarf) and it's up to 12-15' with 4 pups.

The Raja Puri's also clump nicely and fruit at a vary early age.
