Asclepias Variegata

I have finally received an Asclepias Variegata plant. I would love to hear from others who grow these. I need to know what kind of light to give them. I've read conflicting information about these. Some say Part Shade. Some say Shade. Some say Sun. I'd like to plant it this week if possible, but can't find any good info on them. These seem to be very hard to come by.

i searched many sites - that had no real info on where to plant them... and then found this

Quoting:
Asclepias variegata White woods milkweed
$out
Arkansas native Shade/pt Sun Zones 4-10 Family: Asclepidaceae
These look like white milkweed but upon close inspection, you can see the red/purple ring around each flower that makes up the flowerhead. These seem to be happiest in dry woods. It is monarch larval food. These are small plants but I recommend that you plant them - don't try to winter them over in their pots.

found it here http://www.pineridgegardens.com/2003_Per1.htm

according to the common name White Woods Milkweed
it would lead you to believe it likes to be in the woods.

hope this helps.

thanks so much! I'll plant it in a place that only gets morning sun.

I found the original plant I took seed from(with permisson while doing some volunteer gardening at city park) under a good bit of shade from pines and oakes but my potted plants do just fine in the nursery in full sun
