I have a Kirengeshoma on order for a nursery and I have a shady site picked out for it. Anyone have any experience or advice with this plant? I am in zone 5 central Ohio.
Anyone have experience with Kirengeshoma-"yellow wax bells"?
I've had one for a couple years, but hasn't bloomed yet.
I'm not too worried about lack of flowering so far,
since I planted it mainly for the foliage.
The plant looks robust.
It's in a shady woodland.
Big maple-like leaves.
This is a great shade plant. Mine blossoms every year the flowers are, well mine are yellow. Is there other colors? The foliage as Weerobin wrote is great, the flowers never open all the way up. Mine is about five and it really does not spread at all. The flowers just kinda hang down and are kinda thick looking. Pretty, they will blossom later in the summer. I am in zone 5 also. Hope you enjoy the plant. Ronna
