Osprey Cam in Scotland, and it has sound! www.thewebbroadcastingcorporation.com/swt/swt.php
Osprey Cam
Lots' of interesting info here also. Read the diary to learn some of the unusual objects the Ospreys will bring to build the nest.
Yes, and she's due to be laying eggs soon!
I thought the female was begging for food, but just a minute ago the male flew down and landed on top of her and they mated again.
wow
The female is being very chatty....these cams are way to cool!
Nice one! What's even better, it doesn't use that awful malware-prone Flash stuff
Resin
Male just flew in with some nest lining greenery
Yes, I saw that, Resin...but the female looks unimpressed.
She looked bored, already, and the nesting season hasn't even started properly yet!
They've both gone off now.
Great Tit and Coal Tit calling in the background, also occasional Pheasant and Coot calling.
Resin
Don't you love the sound? A couple of days ago, they widened the shot and you could see water behind and to the right.
Their both there now. It is great having the sound.
The reason the eagle one from Virginia might not have sound is because it's in a Botanical Garden and you may be hearing a lot of people talking except at night.
Yes, I have seen people walking below them.
Another mating just now, but now the sound has gone out. Hope it returns soon.
They've changed the angle again - can't see the lake now, but can see more below. Just the female at home, and no sound. It'll get dark in about an hour and a half from now.
Resin
Hope the sound comes back for tomorrows viewing.
What kind of a camera are they using that you can see the nest at night?
I think the Osprey laid her first egg! I saw a white object, and now she is laying on it.

Dunno! Might be infra-red?
Resin
Right on schedule with the egg! Supposed to be 10 days from the 29th of March.
They have cameras like that in the Owl cams since the are in nest boxes and active at night.
I used to have a video camera that had a night vision setting.
Confirmation on her first egg. Altogether this is the 53rd egg she has laid. Sound is back (they may switch it off at a certain time of day). They expect more eggs in the next few days.

Nice to hear her calling.
Got to see the egg !
She's just flown off leaving the egg in clear view!
Hope a crow doesn't grab it while she's away.
Resin
Ah, back again already!
I love all the night sounds!
Just finished preening and snuggled down for the night.
The camera operator just did a nice close-up of the mother, then scanned around to find the male in a nearby tree and then showed some of the fantastic sights the Ospreys see.
He just did it again. It's so beautiful there!
I saw a house across the lake, they sure have a great location.
There is a gazebo type thing they kept zooming in on this morning.
Yes, there was someone in the Gazebo and it looked like they had a long lens camera. The house was behind the gazebo.

Raining now....poor bird.
Yeah, it's forecast to be a wet day here today. Hasn't started where I am yet, but it's coming from that direction. The site is about 200km northwest of me.
I was more worried about the gale a couple of days ago, but they got through that OK.
Resin
Hey, Resin....when is the rain going to stop over there? That poor bird is soaking wet.
Well, it IS the British Isles!!
;-))
Still raining here, but it is supposed to stop by morning.
Just hope it won't be a repeat of 2007 or 2008 (both VERY wet summers, with some serious flooding*). So far this spring has actually been quite dry overall.
Resin
* The pic below is a BBC news photo from July 2007, shows a major 6-lane highway . . . spot the central barrier :-)
It looks more like a river.
