The DG Official Chicken Hairdo Contest

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Snowball would like to officially open the DG Chicken Hairdo Contest, as suggested by our very own Haystack (applause for Haystack here!!). Snowball provides some inspiration in his beauty shot below. All chicken members should feel free to submit their photographs of their chickens sporting their hairdo's, optionally accented with bows, ribbons, or other delights.

Rules:
1. No poultry are to be harmed in the hair-do contest.
2. Pictures of non-poultry pretending to be poultry are allowed, but can't be in the proper contest.
3. Pictures of poultry and their owners sporting the same hairdo strongly encouraged.
4. All poultry are winners, and the contest is just for fun.
5. Poultry does not have to be purebred - any breed or variety of poultry will be fine.
6. Ducks, geese, chickens, quail, peafowl, and all associated poultry are welcome!

Bring on the contestants!!

LOL... you have gone right off the deepest end, C. =0)
Poor Snowball, all this time he didn't know what he was missing and now he does and he wishes he didn't.

It's OK Snowball... in your next life C will be your chicken and you'll be the one with the camera skills.

Hoooray!!! Thanks for those Crestedchik! Great hair-dos on those chickens. I just love the Polish, and the "bad hair day" shot is hilarious!

I love this thread :0)

I used to have chickens and always picked the decorative ones with the fluffy "hats", and furry "slippers".

I used to have to trim the tiny feathers around their eyes, with small curved surgical scissors, so they could see better. My saltan and frizzle were the worst about not being able to see.

I had a polish, but they wouldn't sit still, lol

Never thought of bows, lol...

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

WARNING-There are some inherant dangers in putting a chicken on your head. Most involve shampoo....
