Ohio Horses

South Hamilton, MA

As jumper2 has posted we did go to the barn to watch GD ride. They have done a good job with 'Alice'. She came to them as a contesting horse & her idea upon entering an arena was to run. On Sun. she took the canter very nicely, on a correct lead going both directions. She does tend to get excited, but half-halts bring her back to pace. They did some trotting over poles (4) and while she ticked a couple of them, overall did very well. It's fun seeing a QH cross try & turn into a Hackney. She does pick up her feet very nicely.

After she had been worked awhile, other horses came into the arena, one a retired race track thoroughbred who tends to get a little goofy. He was being lunged & did a couple goofy bounces which Alice ignored. Luckily we were inside when a high wind picked up & showered the area with rain & sleet.
