combining a clem with jasmine on rear fence?

Sacramento, CA

My rear fence is almost covered with jasmine - finally. I was thinking of planting some clems alone the fence next to/in front of/ beside the jasmine roots. Would it work? Any suggestions as to which clems would be the best. I get a little morning shade and then afternoon sun. I have a large butterfly plant in front of the jasmine on one side of a bench and oakleaf hydrangas on the other side in the corner.

what is the pruning routine for the jasmine?

this would be important to know to select clems that would work well.

I usually prune in the fall just to clean it up some. My mow and blow guy actually shaved my jasmine recently - I'm very frustrated as he clipped off the new growth that was beginning to put out buds. Anyway, I'm just trying to cover my back fence with solid green all year long. My jasmine usually blooms in mid-May if I remember correctly. (I need to start a garden log, don't I?) I'd love any ideas as to whether a few clems would work since I love them so much.
