I already had the three that I ordered previously... just had to add the other two in... only takes a few seconds to do that
yes the ride home was fine... we saw a nasty accident though... a car was flipped over on the side of the road... traffic didn't build up yet though...
it was really nice to spend time with all of you again.... we should meet more often
What have you ordered for spring 2009 - Part 6
Onewish1, nice haul. Can't wait to see them planted. Patti
I am still fighting myself where the dogwood is going... how fast do they grow?
Not very fast, Allison. My Golden Shadows is in the ground for over three years and is about waist high now. Part sun (AM) is best.
I had a great time with the 'Jersey girls'! All great people. I'll try to get a photo of my FW order later. It's still in the car!
Glad you guys had fun!
Karen
Very pretty. Never planted them. I love hawks.
2 military helicopters flew over the house this morning, was in the back yard with my dog. She tried to chase them.
Nice haul, folks! The plants look very healthy. We also had hawks over the house today---looked like red-tails, but they were pretty far up---good thermals. That JM 'Pixie' has caught my eye---oh, dear. I have daffs & hyacinth & lungwort blooming--yea!
nice victor - don really blooms a lot - it has been a slow grower here - is pixie as pretty in person?
stopped a hd for a little more fertilizer and came home with 3 blue star juniper's, 3 Juniper procumber nana and one boxwood to fill the space made moving the viridis yesterday.
It's very nice in person, Bill. Amazing how well Don blooms at such at a young age. My Forest Pansy is many years old and about 8 or 9 feet tall and doesn't have anywhere near as many blooms.
oh, your talking about the jm:)
neither does my fp - and i just notice the burgundy hearts i got is about the bloom - in my garage - i'll be sure to get a picture - then no one will be talking about me and neat anymore:)
i looked at those jm's i got from rarefind in november that i over winter - the ice storm did a number on them - all are alive with a lot of die back though - will not be doing that again - or i'll keep them in the garage.
Victor, Nice lot of plant material. I love the rational of saving money on shipping by driving there to pick them up. I would have done the same thing. I love the look of Pinus densiflora Low Grow that you got. Patti
thank you Victor... all my stuff is planted... Randy dug the holes (pulled out rocks)
as I was surveying around the yard I could not find a rose bush we planted last year... so far 1 out of 3 is gone... I had the feeling it wasn't going to take the graft was real high
Great, Allison! I haven't even started. Great that Randy is so helpful. He's a great guy.
Sorry - that should be Low Glow, not Low Grow.
I looked it up and caught your typo. Cool plant. I love this site.Patti

Oh yes - been using that site for years!
I wondered what low grow meant
I do have a plant called Low Gro - a sumac.
ok, didn't know
Wow, you guys just jump right in there and get the work done.....what a great bunch, all the DG members are.
I only got 1 thing from Fairweather(echinecea Evan Saul Sundown) but came away with 17 plants...Thanks, Allison, Louise and Jan...you are all AWESOME!!!!!!!!
hope you enjoy them Jen.... thanks for my sweet pea!
You're welcome.
Ditto to what Allison said. :)
Not a problem, I wish I had more stuff to share.
Hey Victor, Allison... I think this was that flower by Fairweather's checkout...

think you might be right Jen
Victor, beautiful specimen of Franklinia! We bought one several years ago but planted it an area where it was neglected (no water) and lost it :( Nice haul from Fairweather, where's your list? Inquiring minds want to know LOL Is that Cryptomeria 'Sekkan Sugi' hiding in the background and Zenobia in front? Love the form on your Pinus Low Glow :)
Yes, it does look like it, Jen. I thought it was an anemone, but had no idea of the variety.
Right on both counts, Debbie. I posted the list before - I'll look for it again.
I have been trying to grow Anemone blanda blue for 3 years in different spots, none have really taken off yet. Hopeful for this year. I also plantedsome white ones and two pinks ones. Anyone in the here have any good luck with it? Patti
