Ok Ric (Robyn).
Just as soon as they are done blooming...and I do mean immediately...cut the bloom heads off...BEFORE they go to seed. Otherwise you WILL have them everywhere. Then cut them down to within about 8-10 inches of the ground! Yep..even if they are BIG!
They will come back next year like gangbusters! But that is how you keep them from taking over...or making twenty million babies! And they are so gorgeous the end of August or first part of September...for several weeks. And smell WONDERFUL!
I'll look for a pic of mine...can't find it right off.
Spring RU Trade Thoughts
Thanks Neal
I have an iris for you
Pauletta
Paulette, do you have any iris other than purple? I would so love to have an unusual one, if you have anything to trade.
Paulette that is so pretty, yep, I would be pleased with a rizome of that. Remember, I have lanium, obedient plant, chelone, daylilies, lilacs. I have a few naked ladies that I could dig, but it would probably disrupt the bloom for this year. I could send them to you later.
Bonnie Don't bother your naked ladies for me
I have some already, but I would love any daylilies
that I could get
I am trying to fill my large flowerbed with
as many flowers as I can get in it.
It is a mishmash of lots of plants I guess a cottage garden
Trying to drown out weeds..Yah right
Paulette, I have many that need dividing, and will bring you a few to help you fill in those bare spots.
I made more glass flowers today everybody dig up those blue , purple, and white violets!
Rebecca, I will bring you some more Confederate violets if you want? They are the blue and white variegated ones.
I have purple ones and blue and white ones dug for you.
Yes, Marcy the ones you gave me last year are blooming by my door. I can never have too many violets! My husband thinks I am a violet nut, but hey, he could be right.
Rebecca
Ok Rebecca!! I love violets too...but they just don't bloom long enough!!! Of course..I say that about a lot of different flowers!!!! LOL! Looking forward to seeing you this year!!
We need Name Tags.... for the people..... any ideas?
Ric
Ric, I can pick up those stick on ones, and have them there. Yep, looks like there are going to be many that I have never met, good idea.
Thanks Bonnie!
NO switching now.....
What if we already have our name tags on when we get there?
LOL!
THAT's what you did the first time......
Ric
I have a few door prizes
if its ok?
1 large and several little ones
Not telling what they are
Pauletta
I have 700 small ziplocs, 2x5", I changed sample packaging for my soap company, and I no longer use them. They're good for seeds but I don't need a lifetime supply...anyone want them? They're in packages of 100, and I have another partial package that is mostly full, so they'd be easy to split up if you folks would like.
Sure... I'll take some, split a package. Thanks.
We can always use some bags. Thanks for any you can spare!

George, I would love some caladium. Pretty sure I can find some hosta for you. I'll add it to your Japanese Blood Grass.
Ric, that mini hosta you gave me last year....you said you hadn't seen it anywhere...."Wiggles"....well, I ran across it the other day. It is "Sea Wiggles". ^_^
Lou! I got some red bee balm for you! ^_^
Gotcha down Joyce ; )
Sue you had mentioned raspberry jam. I think. I love raspberry jam!(hint, hint)
Neal the "special begonia" I am bringing for you is really cool. I hope you don't already have it. I got it last year and babied it all winter and it is just now big enough to take a start off of. It is a cane type.
George
Anyone want kittens? I have five boy foster kitties, someone left them on the doorstep. Deflea-d, dewormed, bathed, vaccinated, vet checked and Felv-FIV negative. *sigh* 'Tis the season.
Does anyone want a black walnut? I see 2-3 between the creek and the road that need to be dug up.
ok got Geo down for a jam , it has no sugar in it Geo so it will fit in with your new eating lifestyle :) I used Pomonas Pectin . Seedless too !
Hmm i may be interested in your black walnut darius , they transplant well ?
Hmmm kittys ? , doggies , chickens LOL i think we have a pet swap on our hands also LOL i m so in trouble LOL yikes !
Sue, I don't know how they transplant... never tried. These look to be about 3 feet tall, from this side of the creek.
Joyce you got more red bee balm? Was looking today, and I have lots of obedient plant, chelone, lanium and I am gonna need to post a pic or two. Planted some things last year, and promptly forgot what they are. But anyway have increases in about 3 other plants. Will do the pics tomorrow.
Sue
If you have more jam I will take a jar and a tomato, I have a peony
George
Sure would like to have some petasites I have iris
purple mabe a yellow one, bearded
Bonnie, I have some red bee balm. Just let me know.
Pauletta Gotcha down for the petasites. Either iris would be fine, but a yellow would be my pick if you have extra.
Geo
George that would be great, and I have a yellow iris I can trade for it.
Bonnie, what color is your lamium? I'm looking for some yellow... Archangel I think is the name.
Darius, I have alot of yellow lamium. It is a bright yellow, but I don't know it's name as it was a "hand-me-down" Plant. I can bring plenty if you would like. Lou
Darius, my lanium is purple. But you are welcome to a start of it.
Lou
I would like to have a bit of yellow laminum
Sue
On the tomato--the one that has a sweeter taste than the others,
if you don't know then any will be ok
Marcy Do you still have some sweet autumn clematis

I would love to have a white iris if anyone would happen to have one
Pauletta
