Spring RU Trade Thoughts

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Ok Ric (Robyn).
Just as soon as they are done blooming...and I do mean immediately...cut the bloom heads off...BEFORE they go to seed. Otherwise you WILL have them everywhere. Then cut them down to within about 8-10 inches of the ground! Yep..even if they are BIG!
They will come back next year like gangbusters! But that is how you keep them from taking over...or making twenty million babies! And they are so gorgeous the end of August or first part of September...for several weeks. And smell WONDERFUL!
I'll look for a pic of mine...can't find it right off.

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Ok..here is the pic I was looking for.
This is ONE plant in this picture. I probably hadn't cut this back the year before. Now I know better...LOL!

Paulette that is so pretty, yep, I would be pleased with a rizome of that. Remember, I have lanium, obedient plant, chelone, daylilies, lilacs. I have a few naked ladies that I could dig, but it would probably disrupt the bloom for this year. I could send them to you later.

Flemingsburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Bonnie Don't bother your naked ladies for me
I have some already, but I would love any daylilies
that I could get
I am trying to fill my large flowerbed with
as many flowers as I can get in it.
It is a mishmash of lots of plants I guess a cottage garden
Trying to drown out weeds..Yah right

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Paulette, I have many that need dividing, and will bring you a few to help you fill in those bare spots.

Philo, OH(Zone 6a)

I made more glass flowers today everybody dig up those blue , purple, and white violets!

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Rebecca, I will bring you some more Confederate violets if you want? They are the blue and white variegated ones.

Seymour, IN(Zone 5b)

I have purple ones and blue and white ones dug for you.

Philo, OH(Zone 6a)

Yes, Marcy the ones you gave me last year are blooming by my door. I can never have too many violets! My husband thinks I am a violet nut, but hey, he could be right.

Rebecca

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Ok Rebecca!! I love violets too...but they just don't bloom long enough!!! Of course..I say that about a lot of different flowers!!!! LOL! Looking forward to seeing you this year!!

I have 700 small ziplocs, 2x5", I changed sample packaging for my soap company, and I no longer use them. They're good for seeds but I don't need a lifetime supply...anyone want them? They're in packages of 100, and I have another partial package that is mostly full, so they'd be easy to split up if you folks would like.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Sure... I'll take some, split a package. Thanks.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

We can always use some bags. Thanks for any you can spare!

George, I would love some caladium. Pretty sure I can find some hosta for you. I'll add it to your Japanese Blood Grass.

Ric, that mini hosta you gave me last year....you said you hadn't seen it anywhere...."Wiggles"....well, I ran across it the other day. It is "Sea Wiggles". ^_^
