Whatever it is - it sure has a nice colour...woudln't that be lovely mixed in with a light blue one?

Melvatoo..It most definitely could be Clematis "Pistachio"..I definitely can tell is it one of the "Florida's" as they do seem to have a slight green glow in the beginning on the tepals and slowly turn white..remember that the first blooms of a new clematis can be slightly off in colour and size...the anthers look right as well...Jeanne

Really Jeanne? I thought it would be greener...

Delaware, OH

Can't grow these types in my zone, but i do know the greenish color is controlled by how much sun it gets. more sun, less green. they are greener in partial shade.
jeanne makes a good point about those new blooms too. they are frequently not typical.

okay, that makes sense..it gets full sun now..and the bloom thing too...I will try to be more patient...

Patience isn't easy when it comes to clematis.....LOL.
