My canna bulbs tops are squishy in their pot.......and nothing is happening..It is possible DH overwatered while I was gone... I think I need to go buy more.

squishy is definitely not a good sign.. they should be firm and watering is not good when they are not actively growing. I would buy more to be on the safe side. What kind were they? You might be able to find someone with some extras.
They were Buy Mart... mixed bag.. so not hard to replace.
In fact.. already done!!!
