In 2002 I took a high fire class. One evening with about 10 minutes left before the end of class I needed to get rid of a ball of clay real quick. So this is what came to mind (see pic).
At the time I had been reading everything I could get my hands on about Folk Pottery made in North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. I have a small collection of face mugs, face jugs, and pottery masks.
