OT - Happy Spring
Change of seasons in Australia is on the first day of the month, so autumn started 1st March. But where I am the whole spring/summer/autumn/winter scenario doesn't fit in. The Aborigines have 6 seasons here (Whites have 2), based on the responses of nature. Although the weather is going a little crazy (as over most of the planet) we're now in Bangarreng, also called "The Knock'em Down". It's usually after the monsoon (Kudjewk) and when we get storms. The Spear Grass (Sorghum intrans) is up to 2 - 3 metres high, flowering and dropping seed. The storms knock the tall grass down. But this year the monsoon's died early, although there's still a chance (probability) of another burst before the dry season (Yekke). Officially the wet season ends at the end of April.
Thanks Alexandra, and the grapes are on, and I'm enjoying them. Happy spring to you all.
Happy Spring / Autumn where ever you are ! It is gorgeous here. The azaleas are in full bloom! Really pretty outside!
Happy Spring/Autumn to you all too!! I need to get outside and get some new pics. Have lots of new things popping up now.
Dave...nice!!! What plant is that?
Gosh Christi, your spring garden looks lovely. ^_^
We are enjoying it very much. The aroma of the wisteria and the roses is wonderful.
Can't compete with the islands.
All of your pics look great!! My garden is just starting to pop up now. But we have snow coming this weekend. Ugh!!
Cool Randy....
