1751: Anders (Andreas) Dahl, Swedish botanist, was born. He would study under Linnaeus; the Dahlia flower is named for him.

I'm in! And even better: I'm in cast-free and will be doing progressive weight lifting with the ceremonial dahlia stake, then the ceremonial shovel followed by the ceremonial bucket of blooms in a few months. Hurray!

Thanks and I couldn't agree more. I'm keeping my cast for use with heavy work as Grannymarsh wisely counselled, if I still need it by then, but I am really happy to be free at this time of year.

congrats on getting your cast off poochella, grannymarsh does have some wise words every now and then. although you couldn't have told me that when i was 17 yrs old. i'm glad i share my b-day with Anders Dahl, must be why i like them (dahlia's).
